On the eve of India’s 75th Independence Day, Nasscom has issued the following statement:
India has played a crucial role in the last decade, emerging as the technology and innovation nerve center for the world. Combined with emerging technologies, India’s technology innovation has impacted the world across. While it brought benefits of citizen services to the grassroots through the Digital India initiative, India’s technological prowess lead the advancement of business across the globe, even during times of crises. Indian technology companies and start-ups are ranking high-up in the world, and the growing number of unicorns are a shining example of our progress over the years. A collaborative industry-government association is helping bridge gaps in digital talent, innovation by setting up CoEs, deployment of emerging technology and policy changes are helping the economy flourish, innovate, and progress.
As we move towards the next milestone in the journey of the nation – the Amrit Kaal of the next 25 years to the celebration of the centenary of our Independence, we would like to congratulate the entire nation on its progress, contribution towards the national growth and the 75th Independence Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi added during his speech ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan’ the need to emphasize technology innovation and research to steer the country’s growth. Amrit Kaal will be dedicated to the success of the people of India, digital technology innovation, and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ which are going to be key aspects part of this Mahotsav.
