Ahmedabad: The Kalorex Future Tech Lab (KFTL) successfully celebrated National Space Day with a series of engaging workshops held on August 22 and 23, 2025, designed to spark curiosity and inspire young learners about the wonders of space science and technology.
On August 22, 2025, the celebrations began with a special workshop for primary grades. Young students, accompanied by their parents, participated in interactive activities that introduced them to the basics of space science and India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission. The sessions offered joyful, hands-on learning experiences that encouraged curiosity and imagination. On another day, August 23, 2025, the focus shifted to middle school students with an advanced workshop that combined practical exposure to space exploration with inspiring expert talks. Shri Bhagirath Mankad (Retd.), Senior Scientist, SAC–ISRO, delivered the keynote address, sharing insights from his distinguished career at ISRO. Joining virtually from Germany, Dr. Apeksha, Research Scientist at GSI Research Institute, brought global perspectives on astrophysics and space research opportunities.
Participants from multiple schools engaged both in-person and virtually, making the two-day celebration a truly collaborative effort. The workshops concluded with a vision to inspire the next generation of scientists to consider future careers in astrophysics, aerospace, and space research, while celebrating India’s achievements in space exploration.
The KFTL Aerospace Lab continues to remain dedicated to nurturing innovation, scientific inquiry, and future-ready learning among young minds.
