Elevate Campuses Goes Live on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, Unifying Finance Across the Group on a Single AI-Ready ERP

Live with effect from April 1, 2026, and implemented with KPMG as implementation partner, the migration from a mix of on-premises SAP and Tally to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud gives Elevate a single, real-time financial backbone built on a platform used by enterprises worldwide — with the project featured live at SAP’s India Finance & Spend Connect, and SAP inviting Elevate to share the journey as a panel speaker at SAP Finance & Spend Connect Mumbai.

Elevate Campuses Limited announced the successful go-live of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, effective April 1, 2026, across its group of companies. The implementation replaces a fragmented finance landscape an on-premises SAP S/4HANA instance running alongside Tally deployments in several group entities with a single, standardized, cloud-native ERP platform. The project was delivered with KPMG as implementation partner, working alongside SAP and Elevate’s own Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams.

The go-live marks a milestone in Elevate’s broader digital transformation strategy, aligning its finance operations with SAP’s GROW with SAP methodology for cloud ERP adoption. In recognition of the project’s success, SAP invited Elevate Campuses to feature as a key panel speaker at SAP Finance & Spend Connect Mumbai, where the team shared its success story and journey toward SAP Public Cloud implementation with the wider customer community.

Why It Matters

With disparate systems in place — a legacy on-premises SAP instance for some businesses and Tally for others group-wide reporting, compliance, and financial visibility became increasingly difficult to manage centrally. Moving the entire group onto SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud gives the company:

  • A single source of financial truth across all group entities, replacing multiple disconnected systems
  • Real-time visibility into finance, procurement, and spend for faster, more informed decision-making
  • A cloud-native, continuously updated platform that scales as the company adds new campuses and entities
  • A foundation for AI-enabled finance capabilities as part of SAP’s broader Cloud ERP roadmap
  • Standardized processes and stronger compliance across a multi-entity group structure
  • Alignment with a globally proven ERP platform, used by enterprises across more than 25 industries and 190+ countries, with 1,000+ localized versions supporting regional compliance across Elevate’s India and Dubai (UAE) operations.

Leadership Perspective

“Moving to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud was about giving the entire group one financial backbone instead of several. With finance, procurement, and technology now operating on a common cloud platform, we’ve gained the real-time visibility and control we need to scale with confidence. Just as importantly, the platform gives us a single source of truth with built-in audit trails, stronger data integrity, and consistent compliance across the group — which is critical as we continue to grow and operate in a more regulated environment.”

— Vinod Rao, Chief Financial Officer, Elevate Campuses

“This go-live reflects strong teamwork across finance, procurement, and technology, supported closely by SAP and KPMG. Standardizing on a single cloud ERP sets us up to move faster and adopt AI-led capabilities as they become available.”

— Sandesh Sawant, Head of Information Technology, Elevate Campuses

“Organizations today are looking for greater agility, transparency, and scalability as they grow. Elevate Campuses’ successful go-live on SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition reflects a clear focus on building a strong foundation for the future. We are delighted to be part of this journey and wish the team continued success as they expand and evolve.”

—Rahul Baheti, India Growth Officer, SAP Indian Subcontinent.

“Elevate was keen to adopt SAP’s standard best practices and control framework rather than customize around legacy processes. As a result, we recommended SAP GROW to accelerate a clean and well-governed transition to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. Despite the complexity of their multi-entity structure and mixed legacy landscape, the program delivered a standardized finance platform designed for long-term scalability and operational excellence”

— Ashwin Kelkar, Partner, KPMG (Implementation Partner)

SAP Panel Discussion — Sharing the Success Story

In recognition of Elevate’s SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation, SAP recognized the project as a success story and invited Mr. Sandesh Sawant, Head of Technology at Elevate Campuses (Good Host Spaces), to feature as a key panel speaker at SAP Finance & Spend Connect Mumbai. On the panel, Sandesh walked the audience through Elevate’s journey toward SAP Public Cloud implementation — from the decision to move off a mixed on-premises SAP and Tally landscape, through the go-live with KPMG as implementation partner, to the outcomes for the finance organization. The session also included an interactive Q&A, where Sandesh engaged directly with industry leaders in the audience, addressing their questions on SAP Public Cloud adoption, migration planning, and change management.

Industry Context

Elevate’s participation in SAP’s India Finance & Spend Connect events in Mumbai, which brought together more than 700 customers across two cities. Sandesh Sawant led the GROW Connect CIO track and Elevate was featured among a small group of customers sharing live, on-stage perspectives on Cloud ERP adoption — alongside CIOs and CFOs from companies including Optiemus Electronics, Hyundai India Insurance Broking, BCH Electric, and Welspun One. The events underscored a broader industry shift in India toward AI-enabled Cloud ERP as a core driver of enterprise growth.

Looking Ahead

The SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud go-live is the first step in a longer roadmap. Elevate plans to implement Group Reporting to strengthen business consolidation across its multi-entity structure, giving Finance a faster, more standardized close and consolidated reporting process across all group companies. Elevate also plans to extend its SAP footprint to Project Systems, to bring greater visibility, budgeting, and cost control to its capital and infrastructure projects across student accommodation and K-12 campuses. Alongside these, Elevate intends to progressively adopt SAP’s AI-enabled applications, building on the embedded AI already available in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud to bring greater automation and intelligence to finance and operations in the years ahead.
