~New conversational analytics, agent-building, MCP server and ChatGPT integration help enterprises extend trusted workflows and business logic across AI tools and agents~
New Delhi, September 10, 2026: Alteryx, the agentic analytics and automation company, today announced new AI capabilities across Alteryx One, its unified AI-powered analytics platform that brings together data preparation, analytics, automation and AI in a single environment. The new capabilities enable enterprises to extend trusted workflows and governed business logic across the AI tools and agents teams already use, helping organizations move from AI experimentation to more reliable business operations.
As enterprises increasingly deploy AI across functions, they need AI to deliver trusted answers, take action and automate repeatable business processes. According to recent Alteryx research, 71 percent of IT leaders report that AI initiatives are most successful when IT and business teams collaborate closely to bridge the gap between AI agents and enterprise business logic.
Alteryx addresses this gap by connecting AI agents with governed workflows, datasets, calculations and business rules that organizations already use. This enables enterprises to “build once and govern once,” reducing the need to recreate complex business logic for every new AI agent while helping improve security, consistency and cost efficiency.
The approach, which Alteryx calls VURA – Visible, Understandable, Repeatable and Auditable, enables business teams to see where an answer or action comes from, understand the underlying business logic and rely on approved calculations and workflows to deliver consistent results.
“Indian enterprises are moving rapidly from AI experimentation to embedding AI into everyday business processes. As adoption scales, the priority is not simply more AI, but trusted AI outcomes—ensuring that decisions are grounded in the right business context, governed appropriately and can be confidently acted upon. Alteryx helps organizations bring governed analytics and trusted business logic into the AI environments their teams already use, supported by an AI governance framework that makes AI visible, understandable, repeatable and auditable (VURA). For Indian businesses, these capabilities provide a practical foundation to scale AI responsibly while improving efficiency, accelerating decision-making and delivering measurable business value,” said Sabya Sen, Vice President, IMEA & APAC, Alteryx.
The Economics of Governed AI
Governed AI can also improve the economics of enterprise AI. By executing complex analytics within Alteryx rather than relying on an LLM to reason through them, organizations can reduce token consumption while maintaining governed and repeatable outputs.
NextWave recently demonstrated this impact, achieving a 20x reduction in LLM token consumption during a complex Office of the CFO reconciliation between front-office and back-office data. Subsequent internal testing showed that combining an LLM with an existing, trusted Alteryx workflow delivered up to 93 percent reduction in token consumption and up to 85 percent increase in speed for tasks involving raw, ungrounded data. For tasks involving clean, grounded data, token costs were reduced by up to 83 percent, while speed increased by up to 65 percent.
The latest capabilities across Alteryx One include:
- Ask Alteryx: Evolves into the primary way users interact with Alteryx One, providing a natural-language interface to data and helping users build workflows. It can check existing workflows and data first, provide a governed answer when one exists, or build a new workflow when it does not.
- Agent Studio: Enables business users to turn existing, governed datasets into conversational agents without rebuilding them. Analytics teams retain control over the datasets and KPIs that power agent responses.
- Alteryx Insights for OpenAI: Available through the ChatGPT Plugin Directory, it enables business users to generate answers based on analyst-approved data, calculations and workflows without opening the Alteryx platform or requiring an Alteryx seat.
- Alteryx MCP Server: Enables AI agents to interact with Alteryx, find relevant data, build multi-step solutions and create governed, repeatable workflows while inheriting Alteryx authentication, workspace context, role-based access controls and permissions.
- Alteryx Skills: Available through GitHub, Alteryx Skills gives third-party agentic interfaces and tools such as OpenAI Codex, Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code and Gemini CLI the knowledge to build Alteryx assets correctly without recreating business logic or permissions.
