TechEagle, a forefront innovator in on-demand drone delivery, has clinched a triumph in a competitive bid for a tender with AIIMS Guwahati, outpacing numerous industry players. In the rigorous selection process, they showcased operational expertise and technical capabilities because of their superior technology and long range Vertiplane X3 drones. As the next step, TechEagle has laid down a deployment plan and is working with the regional teams to set up operations across remote locations. They are on track to launch the
project within the next few days. During a pilot run, they flew over an exact 104 km aerial corridor, which, reportedly, is the longest flight in India among all medicine delivery projects.

Identification of precise locations alongside superfast execution is the key to setting up and operating a large drone delivery network. TechEagle has shown these capabilities previously in the North Eastern States with extreme conditions. In Dec 2022, they launched a similar Drone Delivery Network in Meghalaya and have been running since then. This was in collaboration with the Govt of Meghalaya and The World Bank.

Professor Ashok Puranik, Executive Director, AIIMS Guwahati, commented, The vendors who bidded were evaluated based on demonstrations, tech advancements, and use cases. TechEagle exhibited these competencies alongside real-time monitoring which led them to win this contract with us. Furthermore, Prof. Puranik, added – This project aims to revolutionise healthcare logistics and make it accessible at the grassroots level. Under this project, drones will be transporting medicines to CHCs and PHCs near AIIMS Guwahati. Also, essential samples(blood, urine, sputum, etc.) will be transferred from these centres to AIIMS for necessary testing. This is a kind use case TechEagle has identified and will be a game changer in drone delivery.

On this significant victory, Mr. Vikram Singh Meena, Founder & CEO, TechEagle, expressed – This is going to be our second Drone Delivery Hub in NorthEast India, we have been continuously creating an impact in Meghalaya for more than a year now. We are on track to launch more such Hubs across the nation and make logistics accessible to each remote part of the country Singh added Assam, being centrally located among seven sisters, plays a crucial role in facilitating the movement of goods and people across the northeastern states. This achievement is the first step to replace Ground Logistics with an Aerial Network. More hubs will be set up to cater to e-commerce and Hyperlocal enterprises, ultimately creating airlines across the state.
