The inaugural meetup brought together developers, founders and technology leaders to discuss AI adoption, cloud infrastructure and emerging engineering practices.
Noida, 13th October 2026: Utho, a sovereign cloud infrastructure company, hosted the Utho Builder’s Community Premiere, the community’s first in-person meetup. The event brought together 80+ developers, founders, architects, engineers and technology leaders for a day of practitioner-led discussions on building and scaling technology products.
The initiative was designed to create a focused space for technology professionals to exchange practical experiences, discuss engineering challenges and learn from people working on real-world technology problems. With an audience of 100+ participants, the event emphasised meaningful interactions over large-scale participation.
The event featured speakers including Dr. Bhupinder Rajput, Founder of Technical Guftgu; Sandeep Rawat, Co-founder and CTO of OpsTree; Shashank Vaishnav, CTO of STAGE; and Monika Rajput, CNCF Ambassador and KubeCon keynote speaker, working in Data and AI Engineering at AHEAD.
As cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence become central to product development, technology teams face decisions that go beyond choosing tools or writing code. These include managing infrastructure costs, designing scalable systems, making engineering trade-offs and moving from experimentation to reliable deployment. The meetup aimed to create an environment where such decisions could be discussed through practical experience rather than theory alone.
AI emerged as a key theme of the day, with industry leaders discussing its growing role in technology development and the importance of building the right capabilities to leverage it effectively. Shashank Vaishnav of STAGE emphasised the need for teams, particularly those at startups, to adopt AI and focus on its efficient use. Dr. Bhupinder Rajput of Technical Guftgu highlighted the importance of high-quality AI learning to help India’s builders make the most of the technology.
Adding to the discussion, Sandeep Rawat of OpsTree and Monika Rajput of AHEAD shared perspectives on engineering leadership, best practices for deploying code, cloud-native technologies, and data and AI engineering.
The sessions provided participants with an opportunity to ask questions, understand the reasoning behind technical decisions and engage directly with experienced practitioners. Q&A sessions, polls, quizzes and open networking over lunch kept the exchange two-way, allowing attendees to share ideas with speakers and peers.
Utho Introduces New Initiative to Empower India’s Innovators to Build and Innovate with Freedom: the freedom to experiment, to learn openly from one another and to make technology decisions with confidence. For a sovereign cloud company, sovereignty goes beyond where data is stored. It also includes the skills, knowledge and communities that help builders make independent choices. Infrastructure can be sovereign; capability must be too.
The Premiere marks the first phase of the Utho Builder’s Community, with a larger second edition already being planned. The longer-term objective is to sustain engagement beyond a single meetup by creating opportunities for future gatherings, knowledge sharing and community members to contribute as speakers.
