Ahead of Janmashtami, Mathura–Vrindavan Tour Package Searches Rise 49%: Justdial

With Janmashtami approaching, consumer searches across pilgrimage travel, accommodation and transport-related services recorded year-on-year growth across India. Data from Justdial Limited, India’s No. 1 local search engine, covers Mathura–Vrindavan Tour Packages, Hotel Services, Guest Houses, Dharamshalas and Cab Services. The analysis compares search volumes between September 2025–August 2026 and September 2024–August 2025.

At the centre of this travel planning activity, Mathura–Vrindavan Tour Package searches recorded the strongest pan-India growth among the tracked categories, increasing by 49%. Delhi led with an 87% rise, followed by Jaipur at 81%, Indore at 61% and Lucknow at 58%. Chandigarh recorded growth of 38%.

Alongside the growth in tour package searches, accommodation-related searches also recorded a significant increase. Hotel Services searches rose by 47% pan-India, with Kanpur recording the highest growth at 78%. Delhi followed at 75%, while Lucknow and Vrindavan registered increases of 73% and 72%, respectively. Mathura recorded growth of 68%, followed by Indore at 61%, Jaipur at 57% and Mumbai at 40%.

The increase was not limited to hotel searches. Guest House searches grew by 46% nationally, led by Mathura at 69%, Jaipur at 65% and Vrindavan at 62%. Delhi and Mumbai each registered growth of 54%, while Kolkata recorded a 53% increase and Vadodara grew by 28%.

Dharamshala searches added to the broader accommodation trend, increasing by 14% pan-India. Kanpur led with a 52% rise, followed by Jaipur at 46%, Patna at 38% and Vrindavan at 37%. Delhi registered growth of 24%, while Mumbai and Mathura recorded increases of 16% and 15%, respectively.

Transport-related searches also grew over the period, with Cab Services up 28% pan-India. Mumbai recorded the highest increase at 62%, followed by Indore at 58%, Coimbatore at 50%, Ahmedabad at 48% and Jaipur at 47%. Kolkata registered growth of 32%, while Chennai, Delhi and Mathura recorded increases of 29%, 25% and 18%, respectively.

Together, the year-on-year data records growth across the different elements of a Mathura–Vrindavan visit, spanning tour planning, accommodation choices and onward transport ahead of Janmashtami.
