Bengaluru, India – May 16, 2025 – As India continues its aggressive commitment to building a future-ready workforce, Maxme – the global leader in human (soft) skills development, has announced new programs to support upskilling and workplace learning and development.
In a climate of rapid change driven by AI, hybrid workforces, and cross-cultural collaboration, the most successful organisations are no longer defined by technical output alone—they’re defined by how well their people communicate, adapt, and lead. That’s why companies across India are turning to Maxme’s human (soft) skill programs to future-proof their workforce.
“Human skills are no longer ‘soft skills’—they’re superpowers,” says Renata Sguario, Founder & CEO of Maxme. “We’ve designed solutions that go beyond training individuals – they transform entire teams.”
The science behind the shift
The World Economic Forum reports that 43 of the 56 foundational skills required for job success are human skills. From emotional intelligence and collaboration to adaptability and innovation, these are the exact capabilities that automation cannot replace. In fact, McKinsey data shows that teams with high EQ outperform others by up to 20% in productivity and 30% in retention.
Why do human skills matter?
- Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is responsible for 58% of your job performance
- 9 out of 10 top performers have a high EQ and earn exponentially more than their counterparts with a lower EQ
- 2/3 of all jobs will be human skill intensive by 2030
- 97% of businesses require people with a mix of technical & human skills.
- Human skills are high value because they’re highly transferable
- For employers, investing in soft skill development has enormous benefits, particularly when it comes to the mental health of employees. This has a positive return on investment, ranging froman average of $2.30 upwards for each dollar invested.
Four ways leading companies are building human-centric cultures
- Starting with self awareness and emotional intelligence (EQ)
Through Aquilaand its foundation modules, employees build emotional intelligence, discover their strengths, and gain tools to handle difficult conversations. These enhance collaboration and reduce friction. - They equip new leaders – early
The Altusprogram gives emerging leaders the toolkit they need to transition from individual contributors to inspiring managers and are foundational to leadership. Covering everything from delegation to resilience. - They strengthen mid-level managers
With Flareo, mid-tier leaders elevate their ability to lead across generations, master cross-cultural dynamics, and thrive in matrixed organisations. These skills are the cornerstone to sustainable growth in large enterprises. - They harness real time team insights
With the launch of MaxInUs, organisations can now visualise team strengths, align roles to talent, and foster psychological safety through one central dashboard. We’re moving beyond basic team building into team intelligence.

Why Human Skills are Future Skills
According to the World Economic Forum, 8 of the top 10 skills for 2025 are human (or “soft”) skills—including critical thinking, creativity, leadership, and emotional intelligence. Research consistently shows that employees with strong human skills are more adaptable, collaborative, and productive.
A McKinsey Global Survey reveals that 43 of the 56 foundational employability skills are human-centric. Yet, India faces a significant gap between academic performance and job readiness. Maxme bridges that gap by embedding these skills early and effectively.
Last month, Mercer | Mettl released their Indian Graduate Skill Index 2025 which showed only 42.6% of Indian graduates are employable, largely due to poor performance in non-technical skills such as communication, problem-solving, and creativity. This survey was conducted over 1 million students across the country.
To add to this, in our new Age of Ai, Weebox reported that soft skills are cited as more important than technical knowledge by 91% of Indian employers, but fewer than 30% of institutions offer structured programs to teach them.
