Bengaluru, India,13th October: Bengaluru-based  today announced its launch from stealth with the world’s first safe, screen-free personal device for children aged 3–10. The company has raised USD 300,000 in pre-seed funding from Antler India and selected for the @GoogleforStartups AI First Accelerator program is aiming to capture up to 3% of India’s USD 1.7 billion edtech hardware market and expand globally within the next three years.

Founded by parents and second-time entrepreneurs, Chandramouli K and Venkat Poluri, MyWonder was born from a universal parenting challenge: that is balancing children’s boundless curiosity with the need for safe, enriching and screen-free engagement. Drawing from their extensive experience in consumer technology and AI, the duo envisioned a hardware-first, AI-native platform that delivers the joy of play, the depth of learning, and the reassurance of parental safety—all without a screen.

Chandramouli K, Co-Founder of MyWonder, said: “As a parent, I constantly struggled to balance my child’s curiosity with the need for safe, meaningful engagement. Screens held attention, but they quietly worked against imagination. With my background in consumer technology and AI, I knew we could build something transformative for our children. That personal challenge became the spark for MyWonder – a product designed to be fun and engaging, while nurturing children’s imagination and curiosity.”

Venkat Potluri, Co-Founder of MyWonder, added: “With the experience of launching global consumer businesses, I see MyWonder as one of the biggest opportunities of our time —to create something just as engaging as screen-based entertainment, but healthier, safer, and truly scalable worldwide. MyWonder is built as a hardware-first, AI-native platform that blends play, learning, and values —giving parents confidence and children joy.”

The edtech hardware market is one of the fastest-growing and most lucrative segments in global education technology. Valued at ~USD 50 billion globally, it is projected to more than double to USD 106 billion by 2030 (CAGR ~12.5%), driven by the rapid integration of AI, personalized learning, and smart devices into everyday education. In India, the market already stands at USD 2 billion and is expanding at over 12% annually, creating a massive runway for innovation in child-centric learning tools. With over 200 million children aged 3–10, India represents both a scale market and a global launchpad — yet no clear category leader exists in the space of safe, personal devices for children. Against this backdrop, MyWonder is positioned to pioneer a new category at the intersection of education, play, and safe technology. The company has set ambitious targets of reaching 100,000 units in its first year and achieving 1% market penetration within 18 months, translating to USD 4.5 million in projected revenues.

The novelty of talking characters and voice games that are adaptive, personal and safe for children has seen great success. The company’s beta program revealed strong traction, with 60% of children active three times a week, a median daily engagement of 81 minutes, and nearly half crossing four hours on peak days. To further build distribution and credibility, MyWonder has working with a leading Bengaluru school chain (7,000 students) to pilot a Screen-Free Digital Tutor with scope to integrate into Google Classroom. It has also secured publishing partnerships with India’s leading publishers like Hachette India and international licensing deals for children’s non-fiction and interactive audio content from the US and UK. Pre-schools will serve as experience centers, enabling parents and children to try the device firsthand.

Positioned at the intersection of education, toys, learning, and entertainment, MyWonder differentiates itself as a multi-character conversational device that prevents “toy fatigue” and emphasizes adaptive, values-driven learning. The startup has also initiated filing for its first intellectual property (IP).

On India’s opportunity, the Founders Chandramouli K and Venkat Potluri further said: “India is not just a testbed—it’s one of the biggest opportunities in the world, with over 30 million children born every year. Rising incomes, demand for screen-free solutions make India the perfect launch market. While we begin here, our product is built for global scale.”

Rajiv Srivatsa, Founding Partner at Antler India, commented “Chandramouli and Venkat are reimagining how children learn and play at home. With deep care for kids and parents, they’ve built a screen-free, AI-powered product that makes learning playful and personalized, while keeping parents closely involved. As their first backers, we’re proud to support their mission to transform out-of-school learning globally.”

With its launch, MyWonder positions itself not just as a challenger but as a first-of-its-kind global category creator built in India, a safe personal companion that redefines out-of-school learning.
