Apple Music has slashed the pricing of its subscription plans in India with the monthly subscription plan now available for INR 99 as against the initial pricing of INR 120 per month.
Apple Music is expected to face stiff competition in India as Spotify and YouTube Music have already marked their presence in the country. Apple Music is the only service from the Cupertino based tech giant which is available on both iOS and Android.
Apple Music is the only service that is available on both iOS and Android, giving the Cupertino-based colossus a breather as compared to its other iPhone-tied offerings. The family plan by the company now comes at a price tag of INR 149 per month, while the student plan is being offered at INR 49 per month.
Previously the pricing for the individual, family, and student plans came at INR 120, INR 199, and INR 60, respectively.
The yearly subscription plan for users which was initially priced at INR 1,200, is now available for INR 999 on the Apple Music website and iTunes app on iPhone, Mac, iPad and iPod.
