BJP Launches “#DigitalBJP“ - Connecting Party Office Bearers

Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Honourable Chief Minister of Haryana, has launched DigitalBJP, a mobile cloud based application specially designed for BJP, with the objective of connecting office-bearers and workers across the country down to the Mandal level of the party, to a central information repository.

The DigitalBJP project follows the vision of Digital empowerment to all members of the party under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Party President Shri Amit Shah.

The Cloud based application was launched for the Haryana unit of the party today and will be gradually scaled up to cover the entire country within the next 12 months. It is also in keeping with the Shri Narendra Modi’s Government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, having been developed by one of India’s foremost and leading software product companies, the Delhi based Newgen Software.

The Digital BJP is envisaged to become a single central source for all related information right from day to day activities to the historical information. The platform is well integrated with social media to quickly disseminate information, perceived to be a of great competitive advantage.

At full scale, close to 12000-15000 party office bearers at various levels will eventually be able to upload content to the platform apart from party workers who will be able to view and share the content.

Drawing from his personal experience with the Technology and Digital World, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Honourable Chief Minister, Haryana commented “I am extremely pleased to launch the Digital BJP application from the State of Haryana. This is yet another pioneering and progressive initiative taken by the party under the able leadership of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the party President Shri Amit Shah ji. The application will be of immense benefit to karyakartas as well as the party leadership as it will not only help them stay connected to each other but also to stay updated on party developments from across our vast country.”

Dr. Anil Jain, National General Secretary of the Party and Incharge Haryana stated, “the reasons why Haryana was chosen as the first state for implementation was for its progressive and tech savvy leadership under CM ML Khattar and the fact that it represents a unique mix of Urban and Rural population.” Dr. Jain also talked about the #digitalbjp vision being inspired by the DigitalIndia and MakeinIndia initiatives of PM Narendra Modi Ji.

Diwakar Nigam, MD and CEO, Newgen Software, said, “We are humbled at the confidence and trust bestowed upon Newgen by the entire top leadership of the BJP. We are also extremely pleased to be associated with the Digital BJP project right from the time it was conceived to its building and final implementation stage. It is indeed a first of its kind, visionary and game-changing initiative by a political party anywhere in the world, with a view to empower its workers further and create a sense of bonding and unity between workers located in diverse locations of this large country. This will help the BJP in completely reinventing their workplace to be in tune with the modern digital era.”
