Can Bring 5G In India In 20 Days, Claims Huawei

Chinese telecom gear maker, Huawei has claimed that it is all set to bring 5G technology to India and can deploy the network within 20 days once it receives a nod from the centre.

We are committed to the India market and will be happy to work with service providers and enterprises to bring 5G faster, safer and smarter to this market.” said Jay Chen, CEO, Huawei India at the India Mobile Conclave.

Chen added that India’s digital revolution is being driven by the government’s commitment regarding the digitisation of key economic aspects.

“In the last couple of years, almost every newest innovation introduced to this market is introduced by Huawei. Massive MIMO is a word we first introduced in India 5 years back,” added Chen.

Detailing the huge potential of 5G for an emerging economy like India, Chen said that “5G is like electricity” which will drive all industries and help realize digital mission and goals set up by National Digital Communications Policy (NDCP).

Huawei has 30 5G commercial contracts globally and has the highest contribution in 3GPP, said Chen.
