Karan Kapur, Executive Director at K Hospitality, said, “It has been an incredible journey that started 50 years ago in 1972 by JK Kapur. We have come a long way, and aspire to keep evolving, innovating and build a stronger relationship with our ever growing family of valued guests, partners and team members. As we celebrate our 50th year, it’s a moment of great pride for our iconic restaurant brand, Copper Chimney to become the first restaurant in India to be selected to accept the newly launched Digital Rupee (e₹). This would have not been possible without our banking partners Yes Bank. With this initiative, we look forward to furthering our goals of providing convenient and innovative solutions to our guests, while supporting the government’s goal on digitization of payments through path breaking options such as UPI and now the Digital Rupee.”
