In a move to strengthen its capabilities to counter threats from cyber hackers particularly from hostile nations like Pakistan and China, India is all set to make operational its own Defence Cyber Agency (DCA) next month.
The agency will have its headquarters in New Delhi with Admiral Mohit Gupta being its head.
“We are working to raise the Defence Cyber Agency in May itself. The work has almost been completed. A new building has been hired in the national capital which will act as the headquarters of the formation,” told the Defence Ministry sources to ANI.
DCA comes as one of the top three agencies along with special forces and will include significant existing capabilities of armed forces for countering threats in the cyber domain. The cyber agency will be flagged off with its headquarters in the capital city of New Delhi.
