Intel Acquires Hyderabad-based Ineda systems

Leading processor make Intel Corporation which has been on a hunt to acquire skilled talents and technology startups has acquired Ineda Systems, a Hyderabad based semiconductor firm.

The deal as per industry sources has taken place in all cash under which Intel will primarily be utilizing the skill sets of Ineda’s workforce.

As per industry sources, Intel has procured 100 engineers from Ineda for their exceptional skills in graphics. It is also being cited that Intel will acquire the leased office of Ineda Systems in Kondapur area, situated near tech giant Google.

While the founder of Ineda Systems, Dasaradha Gude has confirmed the deal development, he has refused to disclose any details about the nature of the deal.

As per a statement published in TOI by Intel spokesperson the company acquired engineering resources from Ineda Systems, a silicon and platform services provider based in Hyderabad. This transaction provides Intel with an experienced SOC (system on chip) team to help build a world-class discrete GPU business.

Ineda Systems was incepted in the year 2010-2011 by Dasaradha Gude, a Hyderabad based entrepreneur and operates in the domains of artificial intelligence, IoT and autonomous driving.

The startup came into limelight in the year 2013-14 for the development of Dhanush chips for wearable devices.

The startup also received a funding of $60 million from big VCs including Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Catalyst Fund, Walden-Riverwood Ventures and many more. Intel is also planning to establish a global technology centre in Hyderabad, a city which already has hundreds of engineers working for the company.
