SAP Labs India Commences Construction of Second Bangalore Campus; to create 15,000 jobs

SAP Labs India today commenced the construction of its second campus in the city in Devanahalli through a ground breaking ceremony. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Sindhu Gangadharan, MD and SVP, SAP Labs India, Mohammed Anzy, Chief Operating Officer, SAP Labs India, and Roshan Gowda, Regional Head, Global Real Estate and Facilities – APJ & Greater China, SAP.

Sindhu Gangadharan, MD and SVP, SAP Labs India, performed the ground breaking for the new state-of-the-art campus. The new campus will span a sprawling 41.07 acres and accommodate 15,000 people while zeroing in on sustainability, wellness, and inclusion and keeping the employee at the centre of SAP’s operations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sindhu Gangadharan said, “As SAP Labs India marks its 25th Anniversary this year, we are deepening our investments in India with a new 41-acre campus that would create 15,000 new jobs in Bangalore. This campus in Devanahalli, North Bangalore will be a reflection of SAP’s vision towards minimizing environmental impact and is designed to be Net Zero, Water Positive, and Carbon Neutral in operations. Additionally, employee wellness and inclusivity would be central to the people’s experience at SAP’s new campus. We are elated at the commencement of construction work and can’t wait to further elevate people’s experiences at SAP with this new campus. The first phase of the facility is expected to be operational by 2025.”
