World’s most advanced shopping technology is being introduced soon. The shopping process can get tedious – long line to check out, lack of assistance to help you chose products and the famous cash versus card dilemma for the payment. Self check-out booths were a huge leap in evolving the entire shopping process; especially when it comes to grocery shopping.
Countries like USA and UK have upgraded to self check out while shopping in stores is now a common thing. The old tradition of having a person to scan your selected products is an outdated thing, though it is still visible in a few stores. Self check out is a time saving process, easier and technologically advanced process. In India so far we haven’t seen a single self check-out counter because we have a tradition of being dependent on manual labor for everything. Also, this would take away employment from low level workers. But we have to contemplate whether it is worth choosing out dated technology to keep providing low level labor in malls or other such stores.
Amazon Go is a technological wander in terms of shopping. No lines, no checkout – just grab and go! When you’re done shopping, you can just leave the store. Shortly after, we’ll charge your Amazon account and send you a receipt.”
We are hoping that Amazon brings this to India and we get a chance to experience hassle free, technologically advanced shopping as well.
