A court in the state of California Court has trashed lawsuit against Infosys and Apple which alleged that the two companies breached immigration law by allowing two Indian nationals to enter US on Business B-1 visas.
Infosys inked a $50,000 contract with Apple to offer 16 live training sessions in California. The lawsuit was filed by a former contractor for Infosys, Carl Krawitt and detailed that during talks over the contract, Infosys professionals “knew Infosys lacked sufficient foreign nationals on H-1B visas to legally perform the classroom training sessions at Apple.”
Krawitt began working at Apple in October 2014 as an independent contractor for Infosys. He as per sources warned Infosys employees and their superiors that they didn’t possess H-1B visas to organise training courses.
Apple claimed that the activities of trainers were allowed under their B-1 visas. The court stated the trainers of Infosys entered lawfully in the US on B-1 visas.
