Bengaluru: Two students, Anagha Upadyaya and Chandana Ashritha of the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Faculty of Engineering and Technology at JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University), made their mark at the IBM National Hackathon 2025.
Anagha and Chandana stood out among 108 participants from across the country by winning the Diversity Award in Python for their outstanding work in the national-level hackathon. The award recognized their strong grasp of Python programming and ability to apply it effectively.
The hackathon began on 15 July and concluded on 8 August with the final round.
Speaking on this achievement, Dr. Garima Sinha, Professor and PG Head, School of Computer Science and Engineering at JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University) expressed pride in the students’ performance saying, “We are proud of Anagha Upadyaya and Chandana Ashritha for their success at the IBM National Hackathon 2025. The IBM National Hackathon 2025, hosted by IBM Expert Labs, brought students from across India on one stage. It offered them a chance to apply knowledge, share fresh ideas, and collaborate under expert guidance. The platform created avenues to turn classroom learning into practical solutions.
