India Aims to Become an INR 20 Trillion Economy

In an unprecedented visit to the Silicon Valley, Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi has touched the hearts of California and accelerated the next phase of Digital India.
In conversation with Global technology leaders, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayan and other Industry Leaders, PM Modi has successfully embarked on ‘Making India’ as their choice market for future growth and expansion.
In a rather sensitive Q & A session hosted by Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who opened the conversation with PM Modi revealing, when Facebook needed leadership and decision-making, he was suggested to visit an Indian Temple by his own Mentor Steve Jobs. Mark Zuckerberg had earlier spent nearly a month in India, where he observed millions of people wanting to stay connected. This perhaps reassured him on Making Facebook what it is today, “Connecting the Unconnected’.
Amongst the conversation highlights, PM Modi extended his warm greetings to Mark Zuckerberg’s Parents who were present at the PM Modi’s address. Mark highlighted how India is very important for Facebook.
PM Modi spoke about the uniqueness of the three D’s of India – being Demography, Democracy & Demand. With over 50 % of Indians being younger in age, India promises to have a great demand.
PM Modi elaborated on some of the key changes currently being pursued at the Indian Administration & Government. India enjoys a very low position in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Report, PM Modi has actioned ‘De-regularisation’, while relooking at parameters for Ease of Doing Business in India. He is positive, that India shall soon climb up the rankings in the World Bank Report, and making India more Investor-friendly.
