Xiaomi’s payment platform Mi-Pay has been finally rolled out by the company in India.  Mi-Pay comes as a UPI-based app which enables you to make payments, transfer funds as well as pay to merchants directly from your account.

While China was the first country to witness the launch of Mi-Pay, the company started testing the platform in India last year. Mi-Pay till date was available to MIUI users in its testing stage and the company was awaiting approval from National Payments Council of India for an official roll out.

As per Xiaomi, Mi-Pay is integrated with MIUI which eliminates the requirement of launching the application to make payments. If the recipient is registered on MiPay, the contacts application will reflect an option to make payment directly.
